Tour itinerary
Day 1. Arrive in Mongolia and city tour
After arriving to Ulaanbaatar, you'll be greeted at the airport and escorted to your hotel. We visit the National History Museum, where you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to the present.
Day 2. Fly to Bayan Ulgii.
- Flight to the capital of the Bayn-Ulgii province, Ulgii. The flight takes 3 and a half hours, and on arrival at the airstrip in the Ulgii
- Locating in SnowPeak camp
Day 3. Visit to Hotan and Hhuurgan lake
Visiting Hoton River and Hurgan lake.
Day 4. Grand opening of Eclipse 2008 festival
We will enjoy opening festival of Eclipse 2008 in wide steppe of Altai Mountains. Kazakh national games will be held.
- Enjoying Kyz kuar, Kokpar, Tenge ilu games
Day 5. Eclipse 2008 day!
- Preparation of Eclipse 2008
- Viewing spectacular Eclipse 2008 from the stunning peaks of Altai Tavan bogd National park
Day 6-7 Tavan bogd National Park
- We will visit Altai Tavan Bogd National Park. In there, we will have chance to see native nomadic people of Ulgii
- The Altai Tavan Bogd National Park covers 6,362 km² and is located south of the highest mountain of Mongolia. It includes the lakes Khoton, Khurgan, and Dayan. The protected area offers a home for many species of alpine animal, such as the Argali sheep, Ibex, Red deer, Beech marten, Moose, Snow cock, and Golden eagle.
Day 8 Back to Ulgii
- Viewing several spectacular landscapes on the way to Ulgii and visiting Kazakh nomad families
Day 9 Back to Ulaanbaatar
- Locating to Hotel in Ulaanbaatar.
Day 10 Departing from Ulaanbaatar
- Having final party in Ulgii
